“Within a year, I became a food and beverage director for Sheraton, which was really a neat thing. “Right out of college I went to work for, what was then called, ITT Sheraton,” he explained, which was an international hotel chain. When you think about the influence that restaurants have on people’s lives and special occasions, there’s no substitute for that,” Michael said.Īfter high school, Michael continued his formal education at Johnson & Wales University. “I’ve had the good fortune of trying a lot of other things, but the restaurant business is like no other business. Growing up in the restaurant industry, Michael knew it was a career he could see himself pursuing and sought for the right opportunity to return to his hometown. ![]() We really had a lifetime together here in Middleboro, so when we had the chance to come back home, it was really great,” Michael said. “My wife and I actually met in the fourth grade at the Burkland School in Middleboro in 1980 and we were like the best of friends all through school.
